1) What is your approach to wedding photography -- posed or photojournalistic style?
Our primary photographic style is photojournalistic because people are most relaxed and natural, therefore usually more
photogenic when they’re not camera conscious. We never attempt to control our client’s event and, except for arranging
people for the formal photographs, we try to be virtually invisible. We are dedicated to documenting your story discreetly,
sensitively and unobtrusively in beautiful, natural images that you and your family can treasure forever.
2) Will Bill actually be our photographer? Will he have an assistant or second photographer?
Bill personally photographs every wedding and/or event. For weddings and other special events, an assistant/second
photographer always accompanies Bill.
3) How many photographs will you make?
The number of photographs varies with each event. Our usual wedding coverage, which would include “getting ready”
images, the ceremony, formals and reception, typically yields 400-600 proofs.
4) How do we proof our images?
Images are posted in a private, password protected online gallery in which you may select images and communicate with
us regarding prints and albums. None of the images are made public until you approve the public release of your gallery.
The online gallery is a great way to share your photographs with family and friends, as well as a very easy, secure and
expedient way to order prints and albums. However, we are always available for personal consultations too.
5) When will my proofs be ready?
Proofs are usually ready two to three weeks after your wedding
6) How long before I receive my prints and albums?
Prints are typically ready ten to fifteen business days after your order has been placed with us. Master prints, which are
suitable for framing, and have been carefully examined, color corrected and retouched, require an additional ten to fifteen
business days. Albums are custom designed working closely with each client, so delivery times vary. However, once you’ve
approved your album, production time is typically thirty business days.
7) How much time do you need to photograph my wedding formals?
That depends on the number of people to be photographed, but usually no more than twenty to thirty minutes. Thanks to
our extensive experience, we work very quickly and are able to keep the mood of the formals lighthearted and relaxed.
8) Do you use flash during a ceremony?
We use available light when possible because available light is usually more interesting and natural. However, when
supplemental lighting is required, we’ll employ flash and/or constant light sources. Choice of lighting is based on the
circumstances. Regardless of the type of lighting, our goal is to create beautiful, timeless photographs for our clients.
Technique should never be intrusive or obvious.
9) What are your rates?
Rates for wedding coverage by Bill and a second photographer/assistant begin at only $1995.00 and are based on the blend of services we provide.
Many photographers offer package rates that include photography, prints and albums. We provide our clients with a range of example choices as a starting point for discussion, but the last thing we want to do is to say, “Here are your choices. Pick package A, B, C, or D.”
We are wholly dedicated to producing beautiful
results for our clients. First and foremost, beautiful results require exquisite images because mediocre photography will
never be more than mediocre regardless of how it is presented. So we concentrate on creating great images first, then we work closely with you to
translate those images into the beautiful collection of prints and/or albums you want -- all at affordable rates. We are not print and album "sales people." We are photographers dedicated to telling the story of your special day in artisitc timeless images you will treasure forever.
